      On July 1, 2003, with the approval from China’s Ministry of Communications, Sino-Global was entitled to attend vessels in every commercial port in China. We have a head office in New York, U.S.A., operational headquarters in Beijing, China, wholly-owned operating subsidiaries in Perth, Australia and Hong Kong, China, local branches in most of main Chinese ports and contractual arrangements in all other ports in Mainland China in which we do not have branch offices. 

      Currently, each of China’s 76 ports follows a different set of rules and procedures, making each port a unique and challenging environment for international ship operators who are not otherwise familiar with individual port procedures. We have local offices in most of main Chinese ports, allowing us to directly steward our clients’ vessels in these ports. While we are seeking to establish more local agency offices, our extensive network of partnerships with other licensed agencies allows us to provide a consistently high level of service supporting our clients in every commercial port in Mainland China. Throughout 2009, we provided services to ships from origins including Australia, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand and the United States.

      We provide both general and local agency services to our clients and handle vessels of all sizes and types, including Handysize, Panamax, Capesize, Roll-On/Roll-Off (“RORO”) and Very Large Crude Carrier (“VLCC”)-class vessels. We are also experienced in managing diverse shipping requirements, including bulk and break-bulk general cargo, vehicle transport, and raw materials such as oil products, iron, and manganese.
